Our first ever trip to Dirty Martini in London drew a huge crowd. Over 50 Tweeters turned up and crammed into our VIP area. The event was sponsored by nobull comms meaning we had a bar tab and a specially designed AutoTweetUp martini!
The introduction of the infamous name badges meant everyone knew who they were talking to at last!
A massive thanks to everyone who turned up. An even bigger thanks goes out to Ali Maynard and the nobull team for sponsoring the event and getting in the first round. The AutoMartini designed by the guys at Dirty Martini seemed to go down very well and certainly got the evening rolling.
Castella Images very kindly took some photos on the evening and of course we had some goody bags. Thanks to Co-Pilot, Charnos, PopBangColour, 7 Hotel Diner and Socialbull for providing the treats.
Outside we were lucky enough to get permission to display a couple of cars in the busy Covent Garden plaza, Gareth Dean brought along the Ford Focus art car created by artists Lyken, FiST, Syrkus, Rue 5, Death Rattles and Al White. The car has been created to celebrate the Ford Centenary this year and wont be around forever so that was a real treat to see it in the flesh, kinetic art?
Toyota GB displayed something even more outrageous, their bonkers Castrol Supra twin turbo. Built to help promote Gran Turismo this ex Redline magazine project car is now part of their growing fleet of historic cars. I was lucky enough to drive it to the venue and I can certainly say i’ve never grabbed so much attention driving round London.
